Zero Day in Hot Springs!

   Red Bull has decided to take a zero day with his companions in Hot Springs!

   They enjoyed the "...natural hot mineral waters.  Heated deep within the earth, these crystal clear carbonated waters are world famous for their mineral content and legendary healing powers"  (quoted from the Hot Springs Resort and Spa site).  The waters are sent into outdoor jacuzzi hot tubs (cleaned and sanitized after each use).

   Sounds like a well deserved treat after walking 273.7 miles (plus the 8 1/2 miles of the approach trail makes it over 282 miles!

Hot Springs Water Jacuzzi

   I had offered to drive to Hot Springs to deliver Red Bull's second hiking pole, and to resupply him (and see how he is doing).  Red Bull told me he did not want us to have to drive that far, and he would rather meet us when he gets closer to home.
   How thoughtful... and such a difference from a little over two weeks ago when he was ready to quit!  We are very happy that he is now enjoying his hike, and has found people to share the journey!
