Don't Give Up!

   I spoke with a member of The Appalachian Trail Conservancy in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia (their headquarters).  She told me to keep encouraging Red Bull.  She began her thru-hike on May 20th (years ago).  She intentionally chose to begin later when there were fewer crowds, "the perfect time."  She said he will catch up to the slower hikers, and to the faster hikers as they take their "zero" days.  People coming later will catch up to him!  There are over 3,500 hikers currently on the trail!  Do NOT give up!  He will regret it forever!  Keep going, he will make life long friends!

    I shared our situation on The White Blaze (AT Hiker forum) looking for advice, and received unbelievable responses!  Everyone telling him to keep going, don't give up, you will regret it the rest of your life, etc...
